Overview
St. Luke's Health System in Boise is seeking a Program Coordinator to join our Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT)/Heme Malignancies and Pediatric Oncology teams! This position is a unique opportunity to join a state-of-the-art facility with a warm, family feeling. The Program Coordinator will support the BMT/Heme Malignancies and the Pediatric Oncology programs.
Position Summary
The BMT/Heme Program contains a highly trained multidisciplinary team of care providers that promote high-quality patient care. Patients and their families have trusted St. Luke's Cancer Institute for more than 50 years for advanced, compassionate care for cancer and blood disorders. Today, a network five cancer centers dedicated to treatment close to home, patient-centered care, cutting-edge research, community prevention, education, and early detection initiatives. In addition, the St. Luke's Cancer Institute in Boise brings medical and radiation oncology specialists, as well as trained cancer surgeons in areas such as thoracic, hepatobiliary, gynecologic, and urologic oncology. The Blood and Marrow Transplant (BMT) and Hematologic Malignancies Program is the first and only of its kind in Idaho.
St. Luke's Children's Hospital and St. Luke's Cancer Institute are partners in Idaho's only pediatric cancer program and only accredited hemophilia center. Pediatric oncologists/hematologists and a dedicated staff of skilled caregivers provide treatment and support for children with cancer and people of all ages with blood disorders in an environment designed to ease the discomforts of long-term care.
The Program Coordinator is responsible for the collection, review, and reporting of clinical and other required data to support performance improvement, strategic decision making, communication and education. The Program Coordinator will develop action plans and process improvement implementation based on analysis of data.
This position is full-time (1.0 FTE), M-F 800-1630.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the daily operations and decision making that supports a specific program or initiative
- Collaborates in the development of patient care plans, based on patient needs, physician orders, and other considerations
- Engages with leadership and other relevant stakeholders for purposes of quality/process improvement advancing program effectiveness, and management of change
- Participates in data compilation for audits and accreditation of the program/initiative
- Provides administrative support
- Tracks certifications, endorsements and licensures pertinent to service line
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's of Nursing Degree or four (4) years additional relevant experience in lieu of Bachelor's Degree
- Experience: Two (2) + years' experience in program coordination or in healthcare
- Licenses/Certifications: Current RN License in State of Practice
Preferred Qualifications
- Oncology experience
- Oncology nursing certification (BMTCN, CPON, or OCN)
