The Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Minnesota is recruiting for an American Board of Plastic Surgery certified/eligible surgeon at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank on the academic or clinician track to join us as a Plastic Surgeon specializing in gender-affirming surgeries including genital and facial feminization.
Practice Highlights
A team of physicians supporting gender care services which include urology (phalloplasty stage 2 & 3 and vaginoplasty), dermatology for hair removal, primary care for hormone management, Ob/Gyn for hysterectomies, and 3 other plastic surgeons perform breast augmentation and masculinizing top surgeries.

Prefer candidate completed a Gender Affirmation Surgery Fellowship but will consider providing training to a practicing Plastic Surgeon or Resident looking to hone skills in gender-affirming genital surgeries. The successful candidate will have demonstrable expertise/interest in caring for patients requiring body, genital, and facial gender affirmation surgery, and demonstrates the interest and ability to cultivate clinical and research collaboration within our Institute of Sexual and Gender Health and other disciplines involved in the care of gender dysphoria. The candidate will be primarily responsible for gender affirmation surgeries, but will also be responsible for participating in plastic surgery call and treating general plastic surgery patients. The candidate must be willing to work at off-site facilities in addition to the main University Hospital. He/She/They must be eligible for licensure in the State of Minnesota, and be eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited ACGME Plastic Surgery residency and/or fellowship training program.
American Board of Plastic Surgery eligible/certified.
Demonstrable expertise/interest in caring for patients requiring body, genital, and facial gender affirmation surgery.
Demonstrates the interest and ability to cultivate clinical and research collaboration within our Institute of Sexual and Gender Health and other disciplines involved in the care of gender dysphoria.
Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure.
Ability to obtain/maintain DEA certification in the State of Minnesota.
Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.
Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of VISA category while in the United States.
